Borno state Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-arid Landscapes ( ACReSAL) has assisted eight vulnerable and compensated one person for economic tree as a result of civil works construction in Uba,Askira LGA.

The ACReSAL project coordinator, Mr Ayuba Peter Shua represented by the Project Engineer, Engineer Babagana Ladan urged the beneficiaries to use the money given to them judiciously.

The Borno State Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) project has made strides in supporting vulnerable communities through various initiatives aimed at promoting economic stability and resilience in semi-arid regions. The project has assisted eight vulnerable individuals and compensated one person for the loss of an economic tree due to civil works construction.

The ACReSAL project has reached out to eight vulnerable beneficiaries, providing essential assistance to strengthen their economic resilience.

One beneficiary received compensation for the loss of an economic tree, highlighting the project’s commitment to addressing the impacts of development activities on local livelihoods.

Mr. Ayuba Peter Shua, the ACReSAL project coordinator, represented by Engineer Babagana Ladan, the Project Engineer, emphasized the importance of judicious use of the financial assistance provided. He urged beneficiaries to invest the funds in meaningful ways that will enhance their livelihoods and contribute to their economic resilience in the long term.

In a gesture of appreciation, Alhaji Mustapha Ismaila Mamza spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, extending heartfelt thanks to the Borno ACReSAL team for their support and efforts in assisting the vulnerable community members. He acknowledged the positive impact of the project on their lives and expressed hope for further collaboration.

The ACReSAL project continues to play a pivotal role in fostering resilience and improving the livelihoods of vulnerable populations in Borno State.

Through targeted interventions and community engagement, the project aims to ensure sustainable development and address the challenges posed by the semi-arid landscape.
